Duo Estivo

Since the summer of 2004 Eline and cellist Tove Törngren (member of the Priori Piano Quartet) decided to perform as a duo. They have a wide repertoire including famous pieces as Saint-Saëns The Swan and more unknown music such as the beautiful sonata of the Swedish composer Emil Sjögren.

Eline loves to communicate directly to her audience and therefore often enriches her playing with narratives about the music in between the pieces. This counts especially for music that in itself is storytelling, such as the Sonetti di Petrarca by Liszt or Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet. Eline has a wide taste in music from the Baroque Age until the Modern Age and likes to make a chronological order in her programs giving space to different composers. She’ll say “no life without Bach, Beethoven and Mozart”, but a part from the Great Masters she is particularly fond of the Romantics like Chopin, Schumann and the Russians. French impressionist Debussy is one of her recent favourites.
